After completing a number of masterfully orchestrated and executed rallies for well-known UK sailing clubs and organisations, Sunchaser Yachting is now proud to announce plans to offer such events to a much wider audience, marketed as luxury sailing cruises. The cruises will be exploring some fascinating cruising grounds in a small fleet of private and chartered sailing yachts. The carefully planned itineraries are designed to include a good balance of local culture, history, natural beauty and luxury spas, delicious food, music and dance. The organisation includes pre-arranged moorings for the yachts, local transfers, treks and walks, museum visits and gourmet meals. Professional guides and experienced Sunchaser representatives are on hand to supervise the events, help with berthing and offer technical assistance with the yachts. When you first experience the difference with catamaran sailing things get a bit confusing. Where are the cramped bunks gone? The dark saloon? The cluttered cockpit? The soggy clothes? The counting of slow mile after slow mile? Where has the sense of adventure gone? You’re right; it’s all gone! Instead you’ve got to amuse yourself with light-hearted pleasures such as steering by remote control whilst sunbathing on the trampoline. Or cracking on at eleven knots with a cool beer by your side and you don't even have to hold the can! Or even deciding whether to swim or to "walk" to the beach, since you are anchored in merely a metre of water. Admittedly one has to re-train to derive pleasure from such little things when first experiencing the joys of catamaran sailing.
