Thailand
Whether you set off from Phuket (Thailand) or Langkawi (Malaysia) the cruising ground is the same: Fantastic monoliths of limestone rock planted vertically into the sea create a landscape that is truly unique. The beaches are white sand and the water is crystal clear. The winds are 10 - 20 knots and the sea is warm and inviting. Some of the world's best diving is found here, in the Butang islands. The food is delicious and provisioning is plentiful. A limited selection of yachts is available here but isn't this a good thing? It keeps this awesomely beautiful destination truly unspoilt!

Thailand's climate is tropical, high both in temperature and humidity, and dominated by monsoons. From November to the end of February is the northeast monsoon and the dry season. The cooling North East breeze brings a reduction in the humidity level. Sunshine averages nine to ten hours a day, making this the main tourist season, and the best time to visit Thailand. April and May are the hottest months of the year, when even the locals are moved to complain about the heat. June sees the beginning of the South West Monsoon, and the start of the rainy season, which continues intermittently until the end of October. The rainy season averages four to five hours of sunshine a day.
