Corsica
A wild, rocky coastline is waiting to greet you, where nature seems totally untouched by man even though it's so close to mainland France and Italy. Explore her charming coves, find a table at a cafe in the local square, sip coffee, explore the delightful cuisine, watch the world go by. Corsica is one of those magical places where nothing much happens but you're happy for that. From Macinaggio reach across to Elba and the Tuscan islands or from breathtaking Bonifacio hop over to Sardinia and the Maddalena archipelago, each with their own surprises, now a quiet beach then a state of the art marina.

In this part of the mediterranean, the mistral can bring unseasonably cold weather for a few days in spring. In Corsica the cold is moderated by the warm waters of the sea. Corsica, which is particularly popular as a holiday resort because of its mild winters at sea level and hot sunny summers, is a mountainous island. In the interior altitudes exceed 2,000 m/6,500 ft and here winter snowfall can be heavy and snow cover may last well into spring.
