Greece
A bright, sundrenched coastline where cobalt blue waters lap onto shores of fantastic diversity, this moment rocky and dry - the next lush green all the way to the sea. Anchor in a deserted bay and lie on your 'private' beach. Smell the aroma of mountain herbs as the breeze wafts down the mountain. Tie up in a fishing harbour and search for the nearest taverna. Few destinations offer such huge diversity of itineraries and variety of cruising grounds. And above all, this is the land where hospitality was invented: 'filoxenia'.

Greece is perfect for those who enjoy the sun, as for over two thirds of the year you can bask under clear, sunny skies. Attica’s peninsula, the Southern Aegean Islands and the central and eastern Peloponnese have a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and milder winters. Temperatures soar to 40°C (104°F) during July and August. During these months the meltemi, a strong northerly wind, sweeps the eastern coast of mainland Greece and the Aegean islands. In southern Greece, Crete stays warm the longest - you can swim off its southern coast from mid-April to November. Mid-October is when the rainy seasons starts in most areas, and the weather stays cold and wet until February, although there are still days with clear blue skies and sunshine.
